Abstract
An arrangement is described for reproducibly supporting ultrasonic test heads on a test piece. A test head mount 1 supporting one or more heads 2a, 2b is connected to a support block 3 which is pivotable about mutually orthogonal axes relative to a first guide bar 4. One of the pivots is formed by guide members engaging an arcuate cam slot. The bar 4 is slidable in a carriage 5 in turn slidable on a second guide bar 6. The latter bar 6 is pivotable about axis A-A' in plates 7, 7a which are themselves pivotable relative to clamping elements 10,10a. The latter can be clamped at any desired height on shafts which are fast with means of attachment 9,9a to the work piece. <IMAGE>
