Abstract

A wind turbine power generation apparatus for fitting to existing street lights and lamp posts, and feeding power to the mains power supply through the street light's existing electricity grid connection. The apparatus includes wind vanes 9, rotating housings for the wind vanes 8, a split horizontal gear wheel and surround 7, a split turntable base 6, a split adaptor mouldings for providing a snug fit around a lamp post 5, a vertical gear wheel 4 for linking the horizontal gear wheel with a generator 3, a tied grid feed-in apparatus and metering device 2 links to the mains through the street light's existing junction box 1.
