Abstract

A monitor includes a displaying device, a supporting device, and a console (fig. 4). The supporting device is connected to and supports the displaying device. The console is connected in communication to the displaying device (e.g. via USB) and is capable of being engaged with the supporting device. Various engagement means are described. The console includes at least first and second switch keys (168a, 168b, 168c), and optionally a rotary part (172) which trigger the display to switch to a first and second displaying mode (e.g. brightness, size) respectively. The detachable design for the console of the invention allows a user to quickly switch the displaying modes, but also avoids shaking due to performing the switching on the displaying device by fingers in the prior art. The invention can effectively solve the inconvenience of switching or setting the displaying modes in the prior art. Also disclosed is a selectively detachable input device engaged with a support for a display (e.g. fig. 9).
