Abstract

A conveyor belt cleaning device incorporating a scraper blade (4) which is maintained in contact with the lower face of the return run of a conveyor belt (1) by suspension units incorporating compression springs (11) supporting opposite ends of the blade. The angle of inclination of the scraper blade to the conveyor belt is adjustable, and a freely rotatable pressure roller (20) is preferably spring-loaded into contact with the upper surface of the conveyor belt near the scraper blade to maintain the belt in even content with the scraper blade. The scraper blade and the pressure roller may conveniently be carried on a common support (27). <IMAGE>
