Couplings, automatic.-In a hollow buffer pin-and-link coupling, the pin c is supported in the set-for-coupling position by a block i mounted on the upper end of a weighted lever h hinged at g to the underside of the buffer shank, a recess l being formed in the front of the block i to support the link in the coupled position, and projections k being provided within the buffer shank to prevent the link from wedging above the block.
