Sheet-registering devices.-Relates to means for adjusting the side and front stops of a printing - press from a distant part of the machine, for example the delivery point. The gauge a comprises a plate a<3> loosely mounted on a screwed shaft a<2> passing through a block a<6> secured in one of a series of holes D in the feed-board C by a set-screw. The shaft a<2> is connected to a flexible shaft a<15>, which is rotated by a shaft leading from the delivery point. A spring a<16> coacting with a milled wheel a<13> secures the stop in position. The front stops b consist of swivel plates b<2> on the ends of screwed shafts b<1> passing through blocks b<4>, which are mounted on a transverse rock-shaft E and carry also the spring sheet-guides. The shafts b<1> are operated by flexible shaft connexions b<8> and are locked by milled wheels b<6> and springs b<7>. In a modification, Fig. 7, for adjusting the front stops carried by the impression cylinder, the stop c comprises a plate c<3> swivelled on a screwed shaft c<1> passing through a bearing-block c<2> on a transverse rockshaft c<5> mounted on the cylinder. Coacting with the plate c<3> are a spring finger c<4> carried by the block c<2>, and a spring guide c<8> on the transverse shaft E. On the shaft c' is a pinion c<6> adapted to be rotated by a single spring tooth c<12> on a shaft c'‹ when the cylinder is arrested in the sheet-taking position. The shaft c<10> is rotated by a flexible shaft c<17> from a distant point, or by a knurled head c<16> for preliminary adjustments.
