Liquids, purifying.-A composition for softening water comprises di-sodium phosphate and borax, to which may be added alkalies, alkaline earths, or their carbonates or phosphates, or alkaline salts of boracic, carbonic, or organic acids, or hydroxides, carbonates, or phosphates of magnesium or aluminium.
