Abstract

3531. Charnaux, L. M. C. Feb. 28, 1912, [Convention date]. Flexible pipes. - Cannulas, surgical drainage tubes, &c. are constructed of gum, india - rubber, or like flexible material reinforced by a helical metal wire. Fig. 3 shows a section of an instrument in which the wire b is arranged in groups c, c<1> of alternate close and spaced convolutions and is of varying gauge. The instrument may be of circular, triangular, or other cross-section. The reinforcement may consist of metal rings jointed or united together by a spiral wire.
