Abstract

3440. Radinger, I. Feb. 10. Pessaries.-A pessary consists of a cup-shaped base c to which are hinged a number of flaps a adapted to be held together by a resilient ring e fitting over the rounded rim a<1> of the flaps. Each flap carries a wing-piece d w h i c h overlaps the adjacent flap so as to form a tight joint at the adjacent edges of the flaps. A removable perforated diaphragm h is inserted in the cup c to form a chamber i for the reception of secretions or a non-liquid disinfectant. Each flap has an eyelet f to enable the pessary to be placed in position.
