Abstract
5348. Hesselman, K. J. E. March 21, 1911, [Convention date]. Cylinders, cooling.- In water - jacketed engines, the cylinder barrel is made of sufficient thickness around the combustion chamber without overheating by the provision of passages 4, which may be cast or drilled in the metal, by which the water is led from the space 2 to the space 3. If necessary, the whole wall may be thickened and the passages may extend the whole length of the cylinder.
