[Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Wire - strainers for the framework of aeroplanes comprise a rod 34 which is connected at one end 36 to one part of the wire, and is provided at its other end with a number of holes, into one of which is inserted one end of a second rod 37 connected at 40 to the other part of the wire. To stretch the wire, the rod 40 is drawn back from the position shown in dotted lines to that shown in full lines, and is secured therein by a ring 41 and a spring catch.
