Abstract

1061. Ireland, W. H. Jan. 15. Screw propellers.- Comprises improved locking - means in sectional bosses for propellers, each section being adapted to be detached independently of any other. The several sections A are each provided with a blade a' and segmental portions a<2> fitting corresponding recesses on the adjacent section. An extra tongue or lip b is provided adapted to fit into a rabbet as shown. The whole is secured together by bolts c and end plates. Cover-plates are also fitted to the boss in grooves in an axial direction, to prevent corrosion.
