Abstract
19,574. Felten & Guilleaume - Lahmeyerwerke Akt.-Ges. Sept. 18, 1907, [date applied for under Section 91 of Patents &c. Act, 1907]. Transformers.-Insulating tubes are made by moistening fibrous bands, for instance of paper, which have been covered with insulating varnish, with or without mica, and dried, with some suitable solvent, and winding the strips on a mandrel. The moistening process may be carried out by brush rollers or by spraying; or the moistening and winding processes may be combined by using a roller to apply the solvent. Suitable insulating materials are varnish, rubber, gutta-percha, and acetyl-cellulose.
