Abstract

24,238. Woods, F. C. Oct. 30. Tyres, elastic other than pneumatic. - To render solid tyres more resilient and free from sideslips, they are made of india-rubber &c. with two treads, as shown. Such tyres may be secured in any known manner, e.g. by a band E of steel or other material in the hollow of the tread. This band supports the treads in event of a side-slip. occurring. The tyre may be lightened as shown at H, and may be removed after one of the flanges F has been taken off. [Reference has been directed under Patents Act, 1902, to Specifications No. 3564, A.D. 1879, No. 1951, A.D. 1903, No. 10,315, A.D. 1904, and No. 1390, A.D. 1905.]
