Printing-apparatus.-A machine for making a large number of prints from one or more negatives on a single sensitized sheet comprises (1) a longitudinally displaceable frame holding the sheet with its sensitized surface pointing downwards, (2) a transversely displaceable box below the frame, containing a source of light, and having in its top an opening containing the negative, and (3) means for pressing portions of the sheet against the negative. In the form shown, a frame 2 carrying the sensitized sheet 5 may be displaced along a base 1 by means of a screw 7, and a box 11 carrying the printing-light 16 may be displaced across the base 1 by means of a screw 12. The negative 18 rests on a glass plate in an opening in the top of the box 11. The pressure-back comprises a padded member 20 having on its upper side a bar 21 on which is slidably mounted a bar 22 having a handle 24 and wedge parts 23 co-operating with abutments 25 on the frame 2. The screws 7, 12 are so pitched that one turn of the operating-handle 10 or 14 displaces the frame 2 or box 11 into position for the next print. The light 16 is actuated by a known device 17 which controls the time of exposure. In a modification, the box 11 is fixed, and extends across the whole width of the frame so as to accommodate several negatives each preferably having its own printing-light.
