Contents, delivering and facilitating access to. -A receptacle for storing gramophone disc record comprises a number of vertically disposed partitions forming record holding compartments, a forwardly and downwardly sloping floor, and a guard member adapted to control the movement of the records simultaneously. The receptacles are adapted to constitute units of a sectional cabinet or the receptacle may be fitted into compartments of a frame or cabinet provided with removable closure means. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the receptacle comprises an inclined floor- or false bottom a, inner walls c, h, vertical paxtitions b, and a casing c<1>, d, h<3>. Slotted bars or strips h<1> secure the inner walls and floor, and the space between the inner and outer walls forms a compartment for the reception of the roll-top closing device j provided with locking- means l, f<1>. A pivoted padded guard-member e controls the movement of the records when moved to open position, Fig. 4; the member e is held in the closed position by spring-controlled projecting pins engaging recesses in the side walls d. Modifications of the receptacle are described in which (1) the inner walls are dispensed with and the closing is effected by a roller-blind, and (2) the guard member and closing means are combined. Each receptacle may be provided with means for interlocking it with one or more similar receptacles as shown in Figs. 14 and 15 or each receptacle may be fitted into compartments q of a partitioned frame p, Fig. 17.
