Abstract

179,810. Gould, C. S. Baring-, Bartholomew, W. J., and Shaw, A. Herring-. April 30, 1921. Tubes or containers, collapsable. - A device for simultaneously expelling the contents of a number of collapsable tubes comprises a container 1 in which the tubes 7 are placed with their necks projecting through and secured by nuts 8 in apertures in one end 4, slots 3 being formed in the sides of the container, through which passes a key 9 formed with slots to engage the ends of the tubes and provided with bent outer ends 11 to enable the key to be rotated and roll the tubes around it. The container may be formed in halves by being divided along a line passing through the slots in the sides, each half carrying one end, and the free ends of each side being provided with tongues adapted to project through slots in the corresponding ends and be folded over to secure the parts together. In a modification, one side of the container is hinged to the main body and is adapted to be secured in position by catches, the hinges and catches being attached at the ends of the corresponding slots, in the sides.
