Folding tables; table adjustments.-In a chair, stool, table, &c., of the kind having two pairs of pivoted legs connected by transverse stays B, B<1> above the pivots, the legs A, A<1> are locked in their crossed position by being engaged in an aperture or loop d in a bar D which serves as a transverse stay at the pivotal point a. In the construction shown in Fig. 4, the size of the aperture d<1> can be altered by adjusting screws g, f, such adjustment also altering the slope of the legs. The whole framework can be readily taken to pieces.
