Abstract
161,883. Baxenden, T. G. July 7, 1920 Braces.-In making braces for trousers, a length of webbing is folded midway of its length into the form of a V, the folded portion is stitched or otherwise secured together, and a metal fastener provided with the usual button straps is pressed on to the fold. As shown, the webbing a is folded and stitched at b, the point of the V is cut off and the fastener c pressed upon the fold. The fastener preferably comprises a toothed portion c<1>, Fig. 4, having recesses to receive ears c<2> on a portion opposite to the teeth c'. The usual sliding buckle at each end of the webbing is provided with a turned-over end g<1>, Fig. 5, which is pressed on to the end of the webbing after this has been inserted into the channel formed by the turned-over end.
