Spring devices.-In shock-absorbing devices for the front wheels of motor-cycles &c. wherein the wheels are mounted on bell-crank levers constrained by opposing springs, the wheel axle is supported at c on the short arm of a bell-crank lever b, the arms of which are substantially at right-angles, and the longer arm passes in an upward direction with its end engaging between opposing springs or buffers d, e. Two or more of such levers may be used for the wheel axle. The springs may be separated by blocks k embracing a ball l bored to receive the end of the lever. The springs may also be enclosed in a slotted casing f which may have tapered caps h screwed into its ends. The casing may be secured to the front fork of a cycle &c. by perforated lugs p, q at right angles to one another.
