156,616. Dubos, L. Jan. 10, 1920, [Convention date]. Wind-screens.-The side windows of a motor road vehicle are mounted to turn about vertical columns to open the body. The columns a, Fig. 1, have cores b, Fig. 9, on which turn hinges c carrying one or two metal window-frames g. These have on three sides gutters h, Fig. 4, enclosing rubber rings i which form projections adapted to be held in grooves j in the outer frame. Locking yokes k fit over the frame and are operated against a spring m by a knob n. Recessed rubber distancepieces may alternately be mounted on the outer frames. The hinges may be locked by screws p. To convert to limousine form, the forward side windows 1 are turned into a transverse position to overlap behind the driver, while to open the rear seats the windows 2, 3 are swung on their common support to form a transverse wind-screen for the rear seats.
