Abstract

156,276. Pearce, P. Morgan-. April 11,1919. Seat attachments; luggage -carriers.-A detachable pillion-seat is provided with a folding backrest A and arms R<1>, and combined leg rest and dress-guard G. The seat is supported by U- shaped springs B and spiral springs C, and is secured to the existing luggage-carrier D by bolts and strips E. The back, arms, and leg-rest are formed from pivoted steel strips, and are adapted when out of use to fold up neatly over the seat and protect it from rain; in this position it also forms a carrier on which articles may be fastened by means of straps I. The leg-rest and dressshield is secured to the cycle frame by a clip H and a wing-nut J engaging a split washer.
