Abstract

In the process for preparing dental materials which contain, as essential constituents, a liquid, organic, polymerisable binding agent and a finely divided filler, such a filler is used which consists to 70 to 95% by weight of particles having a granule size of 0.7 to 25 microns and 30 to 5% by weight of particles having a granule size of 0.2 to 0.7 microns. The dental materials are particularly well suited for preparing agents for preserving teeth by polymerisation because, as a result of the novel size of the granules of the filler, more of the filler than previously can be worked into the binding agent and the mechanical strengths of the polymers are higher.
