Abstract

153,862. Holmes, T. C. Aug. 9, 1920. Powder-blowers.-A powder-blower for dusting trees, plants, poultry, &c. comprises bellows A with a small aperture 15, and a vertical opening 13 communicating through a valve 11 with a container 8. Air is drawn in through the aperture 15 and forced past the valve 11 through the container, carrying powder through gauze 17 and out at the nozzle 9. The valve 11 consists of a flexible plate the upward movement of which is limited by lugs 16. Powder escaping past the valve is forced out through the aperture 15. The container is closed by a screw cap 10.
