1534843 Apparatus for cutting poultry vents P MEYN 24 June 1977 26543/77 Heading A2U In an apparatus for cutting out the vent of a fowl comprising a hollow cylindrical knife coaxially rotatable about a centre pin which may be inserted into the vent, the pin and knife are relatively axially moveable, and a helical hook is rigidly attached about and to the pin coaxially and within the knife, such that on rotation the hook grips the vent in the manner of a corkscrew and on rotating in the opposite direction the hook releases the vent.
