Abstract

1532521 Composite titanium dioxide pigments LAPORTE AUSTRALIA Ltd 2 April 1976 13561/76 Heading C4A A composite titanium dioxide pigment is manufactured by establishing a mixture of particles of titanium dioxide and of particles of one or more extender pigments, at least 50% by weight of each of the titanium dioxide particles and of the extender pigment particles having diameters below 1 micron, and thereafter surface treating the mixed particles to stabilize the spacing of the titanium dioxide particles in the mixture. The surface treating may be by an inorganic surface treating agent.
