1526563 Fluid pressure actuators DAVY LOEWY Ltd 17 June 1977 [30 April 1976] 17740/76 Heading F1P When ports 7, 8 are connected to the supply and a port 9 to the reservoir, a piston 1 and a rod 2 are moved to the right with respect to a member 5. When the piston 1 reaches the end of its stroke the member 5 moves to the right at substantially the same speed as the piston 1 moved because the extra area on which pressure fluid is acting is equal to the cross sectional area of the wall of member 5 which is relatively small. To return the pistons lines 12, 13 are connected to the source and line 10 to the reservoir.
