Abstract

1521848 Bituminous compositions BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 29 April 1977 [24 May 1976] 21331/76 Headings C3M and C3N Compositions comprise (1) bitumen and (2) a liquid butadiene/acrylonitrile copolymer having reactive terminal groups. The copolymer may be hydroxy-terminated or isocyanate-terminate, e.g. a reaction product of a hydroxy-terminated copolymer with a diisocyanate. The bitumen may be unmodified or blown. The compositions may contain fillers, e.g. calcium carbonate, talc and asbestos, and may be mixed with curing agents, e.g. diisocyanates, diols and diamines; and may be used to produce water-impermeable surface coatings.
