1518845 Mattresses T S HARGEST 22 Sept 1975 38790/75 Heading A4M A mattress is provided in one main face 2 with a cavity 4 in which is removably fitted an insert 5 which is invertable to provide support faces with different support characteristics. As shown, one main face of the insert is planar and the opposite main face provides an array of individual elements, such as 11-14, defined by cutting the surface along a network of orthogonal lines. The mattress may include a plurality of cavities each fitted with an invertable insert. The mattress and insert may be of foam material.
