Abstract

1518506 Continuous series of envelopes D C TRETHEWY 15 Aug 1975 32656/77 Divided out of 1518505 Heading B6A Continuous roll stationery is formed of plastics material and comprises a series of envelopes 2 each separated from its respective neighbour(s) in the roll by a tear line 7 allowing detachment of the envelope from the roll; at least a portion of the surface of each envelope being adapted to receive an address, whether hand- or machinewritten, and to allow postage stamps to be attached. The envelopes may be formed by folding polythene sheeting along a pair of parallel lines to provide the front and rear walls of the envelopes and an inturned flap 4 adjacent the open mouth 3 thereof, heat-sealing along lines 5, 6 and forming perforations 7 between each pair of heat-seal lines. Each envelope has a band 8 of flexographically applied ink heavily loaded with extender and based on a polyamide vehicle to provide the address-receiving surface portion. The remainder of the envelope may be clear, white opaque, or tinted. Instead of the flap 4 various other closure means as disclosed in the Specification 1,518,505 may be employed.
