Abstract

In the method of controlling gas, oil or coal-dust burners, the adaptation to different degrees of loading is carried out by changing the quantity of the fuel supplied, and the control of the corresponding air quantity is effected by means of a solid-state electrolytic oxygen detector which is arranged in the flue-gas duct. By means of this method, a simplification of the control and shortening of the regulating period are brought about so that optimum combustion conditions are achieved. There is moreover a reduction of the number of the regulation and control members as well as an increase in operating safety.
