Abstract

1515564 Reinforced hoses INDUSTRIE PIRELLI SpA 21 May 1975 [21 May 1974] 21798/75 Heading F2P A reinforced elastomeric hose comprises, from the inside to the outside, a layer 1 of elastomeric material, a first reinforcing sheath 2 of interwoven threads, a layer 3 of elastomeric material, a second reinforcing sheath 4 of interwoven threads and a covering layer 5 of elastomeric materials, either of sheaths 2 or 4 comprising threads formed of parallel filaments, of polyvinyl alcohol, each filament being covered with a film of adhesive dried on to each individual filament before formation into a sheath. In a preferred embodiment both sheaths 2 and 4 comprise threads formed of adhesive coated parallel filaments of polyvinyl alcohol such as those marketed under the trade names "Vinylal" or "Kuralon".
