Abstract

1512511 Vehicle bodies BRITISH ALUMINIUM CO LTD 2 May 1975 [6 Feb 1974] 05378/74 Heading B7B A vehicle body comprises an inner shell 1 releasably secured within an outer body 2. The inner shell 1, which may be aluminium, stainless steel, or plastics material is supported on a heat insulating core 2, such as spaced timber supports with a glass-fibre infill, for carrying hot loads. The outer body is aluminium. A flange 4 allows bolting of the shell 1 to the outer body 2. A hinged tail gate (not shown) may be hinged at the open end of the body.
