Abstract

1509565 Tamper-resistant ear tag R A STAFFORD and M M KILROY 10 April 1975 [11 April 1974 9 Sept 1974 31 Dec 1974] 14673/75 Heading B6P [Also in Division B4] An ear tag for livestock comprises a two-link strip 1 with an upstanding hollow rivet blank 11 on one limb and a co-operating hole 2 in the other, the blank having a stock portion surmounted by a shoulder 5 and a neck portion 6 with such a depth that when the neck portion has been passed through the hole 2 its edge can be rolled by a tool to form a bead. The rivet blank may be in one piece with the strip, and made by bending and curling a plate joined to the strip. Alternatively the rivet blank may be a separate component with a rolled lower edge. The width of the wall 16 surrounding the hole 2 is such that it breaks if an attempt is made to force the tag open, and an attempt to unroll the edge bead tends to compress the bead rather than straighten it out. 1509615 Carbon printing R MOYSON 9 June 1975 [10 June 1974] 24590/75 Heading B6A An address-receiving document for hectographic printing comprises a master card 1 detachably hinged to a support 3 which has a carbon sheet 4 thereon, there being a portion 6 which folds over sheet 4 for protection prior to use.
