Heating by electricity.-A main water-heater A is connected by a pipe F<2> having a two-way cock G with an auxiliary heater H from which the water when boding is ejected through a siphon I. A gauge glass K is mounted on the auxiliary heater. The main heater has heating elements D in a vessel E to which water is admitted through a pipe B. An outlet F' controlled by the cock G is provided on the heater A. The auxiliary heater has heating elements D' at the bottom and a switch L' operated by hand or automatically, for instance, thermally. The main switch L is controlled by a diaphragm so that it cannot be closed when water is not passing, and is opened when the valve C is closed, as described in Specification 1.44,446.
