Abstract

1505806 Commutators MEIDENSHA KK 29 March 1976 [5 April 1975 7 April 1975 (2)] 12503/76 Heading H2A A commutator has its contact bars 20 mounted on insulating layers 18 on axially spaced supports 12a, 12b, 12c projecting radially from a boss 12 fitted on a rotor shaft 10; each layer 18 is a winding of heat hardenable resin impregnated insulating tape; and the boss 12 is provided with ventilating bores 16 to allow air to flow between the bars 20 when the shaft 10 rotates.
