Abstract

1494924 Pipe branches KERAMO NV 10 April 1975 [12 April 1974] 14818/75 Heading F2G A pipe branch is formed in clay piping by surrounding the main 1 and side branch pipe 2 with an air tight enclosure comprising three part cylindrical forms 4, 5, 6 lined with flexible material 11, 12, 13; introducing a means 20 into the side branch pipe to seal and evacuate the cavity 26 so formed; and subjecting the connecting region of the inner main pipe surface to an outward radial pressure via a rotating spindle 24 thus forming a fused joint. Preferably the shell forms 4-6 are connected at flange portions 14-19 and lined with rubber 11-13 which material further serves as a seal for the evacuating means 20.
