Abstract

1489414 Delivering sheets CANON KK 4 Oct 1974 [5 Oct 1973] 43222/74 Heading B8R A copy sheet receiving tray comprises a mount portion 7, Fig. 2, secured to a copying machine 5 adjacent a sheet discharge opening 6, a fixed tray portion 8 secured to the portion 7 for receiving short sheets A, and a movable tray portion 9 for receiving long sheets B having a pin 10 passing through an elongated hole 11 in the portion 7 so that the portion 9 can be swung upwards into an inoperative position against the front wall of the machine 5, in which position sheets can pass through an opening 9a in the portion 9. A guide surface 13 of the portion 7 co-operates with a pin 12 on the portion 9 to define the two extreme positions of the portion 9. In another form, Fig. 6, the tray comprises a single movable portion 1 pivoted at 3, and has an opening 21 positioned so that when the tray is in its upper inoperative position, sheets emerging from the copying machine 2 can pass through the opening and be deposited on the floor. The opening 21 may be replaced by a cut-out 22, Fig. 7.
