Abstract

1478749 Fertilizer from slag and phosphate rock FISONS Ltd 15 March 1976 [13 March 1975] 10397/75 Addition to 1400416 Heading ClB A mixture which may be used as a fertilizer comprises discrete particles of a steel making slag, containing 9-16% w./w. P 2 O 5 and of phosphate rock (as defined). The mixture preferably contains 12-18 wt. per cent P 2 O 5 and comprises 60-90 parts by wt. slag to 10-40 parts rock. The rock preferably has an initial CO 3 : P 2 O 5 wt. ratio of 0À12 : 1 to 0À24 : 1 and has 20-30% of its P 2 O 5 soluble in 2% aqueous formic acid. The mixture preferably contains less than 2 wt. per cent water and 30 wt. per cent of both components is preferably less than 150 micrometers in particle size.
