Abstract

1477609 Fluid-pressure actuators; hydraulic reciprocating motors ISLEF & HAGEN AS 14 March 1975 [23 Oct 1974] 10851/75 Headings F1A and F1D A fluid-pressure operated actuator, Fig. 3, has two-way valves 7, 8 which are operated by the piston 4 to connect lines 9, 10 to the interior of the cylinder and produce a signal at each end of the stroke. In operation, when the valve 8 is operated by the piston to connect the line 10 to exhaust, the pressure released in the line 10 allows the valve 11" to move to the position shown in which a signal III" is produced by a pressure fluid source P". The signal may be used to actuate a further ram or to operate a reversing valve for the actuator. Fig. 4 (not shown), illustrates an embodiment in which the restrictors D', D" are replaced by auxiliary volumes 13, 14.
