Abstract

A web-like textile fabric consisting of cellulose fibres, on which large-area, single or multicoloured colour effects are to be produced using substantive dyestuffs or reactive dyestuffs, is moistened by padding a blank aqueous liquor containing only fixing chemicals necessary for the dyestuff class used and immediately before rolling up is brought together in complete surface contact with a dry transfer paper web which is treated on the complete surface or part of the surface with the dyestuffs to be transferred. The two webs lying one upon the other are then rolled up with one another and allowed to stay in this state until fixing of the dyestuffs transferred during the course of this to the textile fabric.
