Abstract
1470199 Objectives SOC D'OPTIQUE PRECISION ELECTRONIQUE ET MECANIQUE -SOPELEM 25 Nov 1974 [28 Dec 1973] 50943/74 Heading G2J An objective, e.g. for a camera, comprises four groups of lens elements in succession, the arrangement being such as to have an overall focal length F and:- (a) the first group comprising a convergent lens followed by a meniscus lens, the concave surface of the meniscus facing rearwardly, and the group being convergent with a focal length between 5 and 50F, (b) the second group having the front surface of the front lens convex and the rear surface of the last lens concave, the group being convergent with a focal length between 1.3F and 2.5F, (c) the third group having a double concave lens sandwiched between two double convex lenses and separated therefrom by narrow air gaps, the group being convergent with a focal length between 0.45F and 0.55F, (d) the fourth group being a diverging meniscus lens with its concave surface facing forwardly, the lens being divergent with a focal length between 0.3F and 0.4F. As shown in Examples the optical axis may be folded through 90 degrees by a prism between 2nd and 3rd groups and the second group may comprise two or three lens elements.
