Abstract

1467008 Nestable cap PLASTONA (JOHN WADDINGTON) Ltd 12 March 1974 [29 June 1973] 31036/73 Heading B8T A nestable container cap which is generally circular in shape and which is produced from thin-walled plastics material, e.g. plastics sheeting, comprises formations for preventing relative rotation between neighbouring caps when a plurality of like caps are nested together. The formations each consist of two projections 18 formed in a side wall 14A and spaced apart so as to form a channel 20; the projections merging into an annular shoulder 22. Channels are produced on the reverse side of wall 14A to that on which the projections are formed so that when a plurality of caps are nested together, the projections on one cap will engage with the channels in a neighbouring cap. The formations are either evenly or irregularly spaced about the circumference of the cap.
