1465122 Surgical gown JOHNSON & JOHNSON 26 Sept 1974 [27 Sept 1973] 41924/74 Heading A3V In a surgical gown the central operative field 52, which may be part only of the front, comprises an outer absorbent layer 58 backed by a liquid impervious surface 58b. The absorbent layer may be a non-woven fabric, polyurethane foam or absorbent tissue. It may be laminated, spot-bonded, or edge-sealed to a plastics sheet. The arms or forearms of the gown may be provided with an inner absorbent layer.
