Abstract

1464686 Ploughing coal off a scraper conveyer RUHRKOHLE AG 28 April 1975 [27 April 1974 (2)] 17490/75 Heading B8A Coal is discharged from a scraper conveyer (not shown) by a wedge-shaped plough-like member P via parallelogram-shaped discharge shoots 42 (Fig. 1). This is formed by plates 4 welded to themselves, to central vertical plate 2, and to a base-plate 1. A curved (in side view) end plate 13 terminates the downstream end of the plate. 2. The upstream edge 9 of the member P is provided with welded-on hard metal facing. Similar facings may be provided on chamfered portions 10 of the base-plate 1.
