Abstract

1457706 Selective printing PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 17 Dec 1974 [20 Dec 1973] 54439/74 Heading B6F [Also in Division H4] In a mosaic printing device a printing head 13, comprising seven wire magnets 14 and associated wires 15, is rotatably mounted in bearings 20, 21 for rotation about axis O so as to selectively allow vertical or italicized lettering. Rotation of the head 13 is controlled by an electromagnet 22 and a return tension spring 24. The degree of rotation is adjustable. A telex apparatus incorporating this device is described (see Division H4).
