Abstract

1452039 Flexible tubing incorporating electric conductors ELECTROLUX Ltd 23 Jan 1975 [8 Feb 1974] 3072/75 Heading F2P Flexible tubing is provided in the wall thereof with at least one groove accommodating one or more than one electric conductor, the dimensions of the groove being such that the conductor or conductors therein may move in the lengthwise direction of the conductor. In the arrangement shown tubing 10 having corrugations 11 is provided with a groove 12 accommodating one or more conductors 12. The tubing is preferably made of rubber or a plastics material and the groove is helical with an angle greater than 10‹ in respect of a plane through the longitudinal axis of the tube. A sheath 14 preferably of plaited material may be provided. In further embodimenits (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) the groove is formed by slots in a band wound helically around an inner tube reinforced by a helical metal spring.
