Abstract

1435723 Air curtains TROX GmbH Gebr 17 Sept 1973 [15 Sept 1972] 43434/73 Heading F4V Apparatus for producing an air curtain comprises at least two rotatable cylinders 10 mounted parallel to and adjacent one another in a housing having longitudinally-extending profiled bars 22 which flank the cylinders, the curvature of the bars matching the curvature of the cylinder. Each cylinder has a diametral airdischarge slot 12 formed by two half-shell segments 11 spaced apart by blocks 13 held by screws 14. The edges 11a of the slots are rounded off. The cylinders 10 are journalled on bolts 19 constructed as bearing pivots. A sealing strip 24 is inserted between the bars 22 and each cylinder. Each cylinder may be immobilized by a screw 25. The apparatus also includes a grooving 4, a filter 7, a blower 6 and an air heater 9.
