Abstract

1430879 Rosin esters of polyalkylene oxides TOYO BOSEKI KK 11 March 1974 [10 March 1973] 10855/74 Heading C3R [Also in Divisions D1-D2] A rosin ester of a random copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide is useful, optionally in admixture with a lubricating agent, emulsifier or antistatic agent, in producing bundled multifilament yarn. The composition, preferably in a 5-70% by wt. dispersion in water, is deposited on an unstretched or stretched fibre multifilament yarn. At least 0À1% by weight (based on the yarn) of the rosin ester may be deposited. The M.W. of the random copolymer may be 5000-20,000 and it may contain 50-85 mole per cent of ethylene oxide and 15-50 mole per cent of propylene oxide.
