Bowden mechanism.-In operating-means for Bowden-wire and like transmitting-mechanism, a lever a, turning on a pivot b on a fixed bracket c, has a slot i engaging a pin j carried on the face g of a drum or sector rotating within a casing e on the bracket c and secured to the inner member of a Bowden wire l or the like. The pin-and-slot connexion may be replaced bv a link. A locking- lever n engages notches p in the bracket; or sliding bolt or like means or frictional means comprising spring washers or the like may be used to lock the lever or drum. To vary the angular motion of the drum, which may be more than three times that of the lever, the pin may be adjustable radially in the drum, or may be secured adjustably in the slot i, in which case it engages a radial slot in the drum. The lever may actuate two or more drums secured together and actuating two or more transmission systems either simultaneously or alternatively.
